Week Eight......Home

I long, as does every human being, to be at home wherever I find myself.
Maya Angelou
This week we have the lovely and ever so talented Jade Sheldon as our guest. She is a master of self portraits and her processing and use of textures is truly a sight to behold. Jade chose our word this week and I can honestly say that this word was an amazing choice. Home means so many different things to people. I recently moved and I know that my home really is where my family is. Jade showcased this meaning of home so well in her image this week.....
We can't wait to see your takes on this week's challenge and please make sure to stop by Jade's beautiful stream and show her some love.

Week Seven..... Happy

Parallel Vision.... week seven {happy}

Happy.... what comes to mind when you hear the word happy? Perhaps it's feelings of contentment after eating your favorite food or chocolate. Maybe it's time to yourself or shopping with a friend. Happy could be those simple things that make you feel good like bright colors or a rainbow.

I'm sure many things come to mind when we think of happy. It's one of those emotions that we all strive for. Happiness in life, love, family, work........ What is it that make YOU happy?

Good luck with this weeks word... we're looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Week Six.....Reflection

This week's word is one that I struggle with on a day to day basis. I am always overly analytical of my life and what goes on around me. I think reflection is such a powerful word that can be interpreted as you see fit. You could choose to keep it simple this week and take a photo of a reflective surface or you could really delve deep and work on something in your own life that you will feel is worth reflecting on.
I will be celebrating a birthday very soon and I find that at the beginning of a new year and right around my birthday, I really like to reflect on my past. I hope you will take this opportunity to reflect on your own lives. I am eagerly anticipating what you guys will come up with. We have truly been blown away so far by all of your work.
What started out as a small collaborative effort has blossomed into so much more.
You guys have truly been inspiring us and we are so thankful....
Keep it up. :)

Week Five..... Feminine

parallel vision..... week five {feminine}

This weeks word was chosen by me (Barb) thinking that it would be a breeze to come up with a photo depicting femininity. Well, come to find out, I'm not as feminine as I thought and had much difficulty finding something to photograph. All in all, the diptych turned out beautifully and perhaps my favorite so far. The colors work wonderfully together and a string of pearls is the epitome of femininity and classiness.

Good luck this week finding your femininity... can wait to see what you add to the group pool. :)
