209/365 - special message

As you can see there's an extra photo this week. We asked our special guest T Does Wool to choose an image image as well, considering she chose the word "connection". Thanks to everyone who participated this week and a special thanks to Theresa for playing along in choosing this past weeks word. It was a lot of fun!

Be sure to tune in tomorrow to find out the word for the first week of February.

Week Four.....Connection

This week we have a very special guest joining us.
We asked the incredible T does Wool aka Theresa to join us this week and to choose our inspiration word. She came up with the word connection and thought it would be fun for us to each take a part of the word and have our triptych actually incorporate the word within the images.
Her idea was so amazing because it is true that we connect in so many ways and on so many levels. It's quite obvious that we have all connected over our passion for photography and I am so grateful that we were able to express that passion this week with such a fantastic word.
We do hope you will join us and play along this week and make sure to check out Theresa's stream when you get a chance. I promise, you won't be disappointed. She is amazing, so creative and her images speak deeply to so many people.
So without further ado, here is our triptych for the week.

Although PEACE was a difficult word for me to convey through pictures, everyone that contributed to the group pool this past week did not disappoint. So many beautiful and peaceful photographs to choose from. Thank you to everyone who participated and we're looking forward to see how you transform the next word of the week.

Thanks,
Barb

Week Three......Peace

The word of the week was my choice this time around and one of the first words that came to mind was peace. I hope this word provides some inspiration because I truly feel it can be interpreted in so many ways.
Here is what we came up with this week...

There was a wonderful selection of winter pictures this week which made it extremely difficult to choose. Thank you to all who participated and be sure to check out the other fantastic photos in the group pool.

Week Two.... Winter

Week two..... winter

I think we can all agree that this weeks word is something we're all feeling in one form or another. Minnesota winters are frigid with snow covered yards while California's winters are warmer with rain glistening streets. One thing is for sure... we all have our ways of getting through them. Feel free to share with us how you make it through the long winters?

Be sure to post your pictures of the week in the Parallel Vision pool on flickr.

A quick update :)

After much deliberation, Kristina and I have decided to make this journey a little more exciting for all of our readers and participants.

At the end of each week, Kristina and I will each choose one image from the group pool to feature on the blog. Perhaps you could consider it our way of saying thanks to all of you who put yourselves out there. There has been a wonderful response to this project and we want to thank all of you for adding to the group pool as well as linking to the project on your blogs or flickr photostreams. We'll post the pictures on either Sunday or Monday so you'll have to check back to see if yours was chosen.

Along with this, we have decided to do one more thing. Sometime during each month we'll be contacting one of the group pool members and asking them to choose a word for the last week of that month. We will feature each person in a triptych with both Kristina and I. We believe that this addition will keep things fresh and exciting.

If you happen to have any questions about this 52 week project, don't hesitate to contact Kristina or myself through flickr mail. We'd be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. There is also a discussion board in the Parallel Vision group pool on flickr where we'll post updates as well as the word of the week.

Thanks to all of you who have been participating in this project... it's been a joy to see all of your beautiful faces in the pool this past week. Keep them coming!

Week One....Self

left, Barb, right, Kristina
We are so excited about our joint venture and we are hoping you are, too.
Barb and I became fast friends on flickr and have found that we have a ton in common and our photographic styles are similar. Barb approached me about doing a 52 weeks challenge together and I immediately said yes.
Our first week we decided that an introductory post and picture would be best.
We will be here every Monday throughout the year, with an image from both of us inspired by one of us. We plan on taking turns with our words and this first week, the word self was chosen by me.
I thought it was important for you to get a glimpse of both of us.
We hope you will tune in every Monday because I have a feeling it's going to be a great ride...
We have also set up a flickr group for you to post your interpretations. We would love to see what you come up with.
Kristina
